✅ Legal Basis
Employers must assess asbestos risks and provide the necessary information and training before work in which employees may be exposed. This information course teaches how to recognise suspected asbestos, stop work and report it. It does not meet the specific training requirements in Sections 4-7 to 4-14 of the Norwegian Regulations concerning the Performance of Work. Actual work with asbestos requires the appropriate basic and supplementary training, practical exercises, a passed individual knowledge test and work in a company holding the required permit from the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority.
