Theory Online – Practice in the Workplace
For courses that require hands-on training, this can often be conducted at your own workplace with a qualified mentor. This could be a colleague, friend, or business partner with the necessary expertise. The mentor demonstrates, you practice, and your employer ensures that the training is adequate and documented. The mentor must have the necessary skills to perform the tasks safely and use the equipment properly. The person does not need to have taken our course.

Who is required to take a health, safety, and environment (HSE) course?
The need depends on the role, the work, and the risk. The employer must provide the necessary training and has a specific duty to provide HSE training. Safety representatives and employees who use specific work equipment or perform high-risk work may also have specific training requirements.

How do I find the right course?
Start with the job task or role: management and safety representatives, working at heights and on scaffolding, construction and machinery, chemicals, dust and noise, or electrical work, fire safety, and road safety. The courses are grouped on the course page, so you don’t have to search through a long list.

Yes, the theory portion can be taken online. For courses that require practical training, this can often be completed at the workplace with a qualified mentor. The course page explains the applicable requirements.

Can individuals purchase courses?
Yes. Select “Individual” in the shopping cart and skip the optional fields for company name and organization number at checkout. Businesses should select “Business” and can save their business information along with the order.
How does the participant gain access to the course?
You can enter the participant's name and email address on the product page before placing your order. The course will then be sent directly to the participant once the order has been processed. If you are purchasing multiple spots, select the number of participants.
Can a company purchase training courses for multiple employees?

Completion and Course Certificate
Will I receive a certificate of completion?
Yes, courses marked as "certificate courses" provide documentation once the participant has completed and passed the course. What the certificate documents is listed on the individual course page.
Can the course be taken on a smartphone or tablet?
Yes. The online courses can be taken in a web browser on a mobile phone, tablet, or PC. You'll need internet access, and sound is recommended for courses that include audio readings or videos.
Can I take breaks along the way?
Yes. You can usually take the course at your own pace and continue later. Any requirements regarding duration or completion are clearly stated on the course page.
