Online FSE Course – Annual Update

This FSE course provides the annual theoretical refresher training for individuals who work in or near electrical installations. This course teaches you how to plan your work, assess electrical hazards, choose safe work methods, and respond appropriately in the event of non-conformities or electrical accidents.

Who needs an FSE course?

This course is relevant for qualified personnel, apprentices, trained individuals, contractors, and others who, through specific work tasks, work with, participate in the operation of, or come into close proximity to electrical installations. The routine use of a computer, vacuum cleaner, coffee maker, or other electrical equipment does not in itself require FSE training. It is the specific task, the installation, and the electrical risk that determine whether training is necessary.

Annual FSE Training

Training, drills, and instruction must be repeated at least once a year, with no more than 12 months between sessions, and must be tailored to the organization’s risk profile, work tasks, instructions, and facilities. The online course covers the theoretical portion and provides a solid, documentable foundation for the company’s annual FSE program.

First Aid for Electrical Accidents

The course covers the theory of safe extrication, emergency notification, CPR, and first aid for electrical accidents. Employers must also provide annual first aid training that includes relevant practical exercises and rescue training tailored to FSE. Course Certificates and Local Follow-Up

The course certificate confirms completion of the theoretical portion and passing the knowledge test.
