Here's how the 40 hours work

The course records 40 hours in the course portal. You can spread the time over several days or weeks and pick up where you left off. Optional local exercises provide useful practice, but should not be submitted to Komplett HMS and do not count toward registered course time. Therefore, there is no manual submission or approval required afterward.

Course Certificates and Documentation

Once 40 hours have been logged and the knowledge test has been passed, the participant will receive a digital course certificate. The course certificate documents the completion of the course in the course portal and the passing of the knowledge test.

40 hours is the general rule

The general rule is a minimum of 40 hours of training for safety representatives and AMU members. Shorter training may only be agreed upon if the employer and employees jointly determine that this is justifiable based on the company’s risks and workplace environment challenges. For businesses that have a documented basis for a shorter course, we also offer our simplified safety representative course.
