Who needs training?
Users of scaffolding must receive training in the use of the specific scaffolding in question. The employer must tailor the training to the type of scaffolding, the work task, and the risks involved. See the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority’s guidelines on the assembly and use of scaffolding.
What does a scaffolding user learn?

User or installer?
A scaffold user works from a fully assembled and inspected scaffold. Anyone who is to assemble, modify, dismantle, or inspect a scaffold taller than two meters must undergo different and more comprehensive training, including both theory and practical exercises.
Is the online course enough?
The online course covers the theory. In addition, the employer should show the participant the specific scaffolding, access routes, signage, escape routes, and local rules. This review is documented along with the course certificate.
